EXCITING NEWS!

The Shoals Public Library has been awarded a $500,000 Public Facilities grant from the Office of Community and Rural Affairs. These funds will be used to expand the existing library with a two- story addition to the back. The expansion will include an elevator, new ADA restrooms, a new children’s area, and upgraded HVAC. Thank you to SIDC and Griffy Creek studios for all the hard work on the application. Also, a big thank you to our patrons and everyone who assisted with surveys, and/or letters of support!

Shoals Library Performance Project 2021-22

Last year, the Shoals Public Library was selected to represent the State of Indiana in a Nationwide project about the impact of rural libraries. The library recently received this letter from Governor Holcomb! We feel very honored to be a part of this project. It has been a fun process and we cannot wait to see the final product.  To read more about this project or how you can help rural libraries copy and paste this URL into your internet web browser:  https://travelswithbill.net/
